ABOUT ME

Dick Gillman is a Yorkshireman in his 60's. He qualified as a Food Technologist and worked in Sheffield in the 1970's. Graduating with the Open University, he entered teaching in 1980 and taught Physics and then Balanced Science for 25 years to 11-16 year olds in the Nottingham / Derby area.

He retired from teaching in 2005 and moved to Brittany, France in 2008 with his wife Alex, Truffle the Black Labrador and two cats. He still has strong links with the UK where he visits his two grown up children and his grandchildren.

During his retirement he has written thirteen Sherlock Holmes short stories and also his first SF novel 'Saline'​. All of these books are available at Amazon and Smashwords. His very latest story, 'Sherlock Holmes and The Second Key' was  published on 18th April, 2015.
